11 year Toby was right up for a monster battle this morning landing his first salmon. Hooked harling at the top of the flats this beauty was soon screaming line from the reel running 200 yards and almost out the pool. This young man was up for the fight though and was put through an exhilarating 30 min battle. It was eventually tamed back up at the top of the pool. Not a bad fish for his first !! Well done and congratulation on your success. I hope you school pals are suitably impressed with your achievement. Tight lines young man.
Justin landed his first ever salmon on Friday. Hooked harling it put up a spirited battle in the deep water. Justin was delighted land his prize. Not a bad fish for your first. Pictured with Justin is son Toby. Tight lines and congratulation.
The "Duchess" was keen to stretch her fly line and warm up her casting on thurs afternoon. Casting a lovely fly line it was no surprise when this beauty grabbed hold. After an acrobatic fight it was tamed. Well done Sandra. Tight lines.
John was unlucky twice on Thursday morning before he landed this little cracker on a yellow ally's. Delighted to land this fish it ended a short run of unlucky fish losses for John. Well done and tight lines John.

Brian caught this cracking 12lb fish in the Linn pool on a salmo last Friday. The take was spectacular as it chased the lure across the surface before the strike.

A delighted Danny with his 13lb springer on the fly from Stank End yesterday !! The hard fighting fish had me running down the bank with the net !! Tim had a cracking 22lb fish hooked harling in stank end this morning. It clobbered a vision 110 in the stream and fought all over the pool. Well done Tim on landing your biggest fish to date. The spring fish was returned as normal to continue its journey upstream...Tight lines
John Hutcheon and Ral enjoyed done sport in the afternoon yesterday. The water was quite coloured with snow melt but began clearing after lunch. John landed his 6lb fish on the linn bank with a Toby. Ral's 8lb fish was hooked harling in the trinks. Both were sea liced. Tight lines.

A very pleased George McKinley with 2nd springer of the day on Friday !! The 7lb sea licer took and 20g silver Toby in the green bank !! George's other spring salmon took the same Toby off the ledge in the majors cast !! Well done George & c,mon the fish !!
Red gorton Ghillie Mike Hay was off the mark on his 3rd cast from the back of the bellymore dyke on Friday !! His 18lb sea liced beauty took a salmo and put up a awesome fight before it was returned to continue on its way !! Well done Mike. Keep it Reel & c,mon the fish
The (duchess) was delighted to land her 7lb sea liced springer just before lunch on Friday from the linn pool !! Sandra suffered the agony of having two fish fall off at the side on Wednesday !! So were happy to see his wee beauty in the net !! Well done & c, mon the fish
It was also a great day for John Lessels in the linn pool this week!! john put in a great shift of fishing application and was rewarded with three spring salmon !! This was the pick of the bunch !! Hooked just before lunch from the back of the bellymore dyke the 15lb springer put up a hard fighting battle before it was landed and returned in a true sportsman like manner to continue on its way !! Yesterday the water was up and a bit coloured after heavy overnight rain. Not disheartened our team of rods set out full of confidence as always. The linn produced an exciting morning with 5 fish hooked and a few more takes and pulls. Only 1 fish was landed though unfortunately. Roger landed this small fish from the Linn bank after losing another moments before. That's 12 up for the week and several more lost. Tight lines

It was Honey (pot luck) for Jeramy yesterday afternoon !! With the water rising and lots of debre coming down the river we all thought we were done for !! Then just as we cleaned the line and recast the vision 110 (WHAM) !! The magnificent spring beautie was on and after a major acrobatic battle was landed and returned back to the river ..well done !! There were 3 cracking fish landed in the linn today. First into a fish was Gordon Howe. His 16 lb sealiced fish took a salmo on the Linn bank. A few fish started to show around the pool and Ian Davies was next to get a take. His fish weighed in just over 16lb and grabbed a metal Devon in the little Bellymore. 2 mins later a fish was hooked in the green bank. Another immaculate fish of 12 lb. One fish was hooked on the fly in the afternoon and the action for the day was complete. Tight lines.

It was a frantic day of sport on the linn again yesterday. The morning saw a 11lber landed in the little Bellymore by Alistair Smee on a salmo and another 2 lost. The afternoon came to life at 3pm with Tillmouth ghillie Wee John landing 2 in the little Bellymore. Joe getting a acrobatic 12lber in the green bank and Alistair getting his second fish again on a salmo. The afternoon saw another 3 hooked and lost. Well done everyone on a great day of sport.
