A vey happy Hugh Robbins with the 1st of his brace yesterday !! The sea liced beauty took a salmo from the back of the bellymore !! Well done & c, mon the fish !!
Taymount is one of the most legendary beats on the River Tay. The water is very varied and has excellent streamy water, ideal for flyfishing in all but the biggest spates. There are also deeper runs and pools where salmon hold up in all waters. There is always a chance of fish on Taymount regardless of conditions, but a rise in the water offers the best opportunities of all.

Linn pool action in high coloured water
Yesterday the water was up and a bit coloured after heavy overnight rain. Not disheartened our team of rods set out full of confidence as always. The linn produced an exciting morning with 5 fish hooked and a few more takes and pulls. Only 1 fish was landed though unfortunately. Roger landed this small fish from the Linn bank after losing another moments before. That's 12 up for the week and several more lost. Tight lines

3 beauties this morning from the Linn
There were 3 cracking fish landed in the linn today. First into a fish was Gordon Howe. His 16 lb sealiced fish took a salmo on the Linn bank. A few fish started to show around the pool and Ian Davies was next to get a take. His fish weighed in just over 16lb and grabbed a metal Devon in the little Bellymore. 2 mins later a fish was hooked in the green bank. Another immaculate fish of 12 lb. One fish was hooked on the fly in the afternoon and the action for the day was complete. Tight lines.
