28lb for Joe O'Donnell in upper eels brig

Joe hooked this monster yesterday fly fishing in upper eels brig from the boat. An dogged battle began and after wrestling the fish for 40 mins in the tail of the pool it eventually dropped back and could be landed. Great experience. Well done Joe. 

31lb. Geoff Coates. Woodside

Geoff landed this monster sea liced fish after a titanic 50 min battle. Hooked harling a Kynoch at 11.15 in the Woodside it finally reached the net in Stank end at 12.05. The battle can only be described at wrestling match which we only won the final round. But luckily for Geoff that round was the one that won the match. Well done Geoff. It was certainly a day to remember. Tight lines !!

Angela Somerville's 12lb sea licer

This cracking sealiced fish was hooked halring today on a vision. Well done Angela and hopefully a few more will come our way this week. Tight lines. 

2 sealiced spring fish from from the pool

After a quiet morning, Stuart Miller was straight into a fish after lunch. This little sealiced beauty took a salmo behind the dyke. We'll done Stuart. 

Brendan Tumility is pictured with our second for the afternoon. 11lb, again fresh with tidelice and on a salmo. Anticipation is high now for a few more to finish February. We'll done lads and tight lines for 2015 !!

Andrew Spencer 9lb sea licer

Andrew got this cracking little sea licer this afternoon spinning a salmo in the pool. Hopefully a sign the number of fresh fish entering the system is increasing. Tight lines. 

Pats 14lb spring fish from the pool

Pat was successful on Sat landing this beauty in the pool on a 28g Toby. This was his first ever spring salmon.

Alan Chapmans 14lb Linn pool

Alan landed his second spring fish of 2015 in the pool on Thursday. A Salmo was the successful bait again. Well done Alan and tight lines.

Alan hooked this cracker on a copper salmo from the bellymore dyke. An explosive fight followed before Alan landed his prize. We'll done Alan and tight lines.

A pic of 3rd fish of the season from the Linn pool. Hooked on a salmo in the little bellymore. The water conditions continue to be good so hopefully more January spring fish will follow. 

Our second of 2015 and Frank Ross's first salmon

Frank was delighted to land his first ever salmon on Taymount today. And what a fish to get. This cracking little, fat 8lber was the icing on the cake today and showed how productive the magnificent Taymount beat is in spring time. Two other spring fish were also hooked and lost today starting the season with a bang. Anticipation is high after recent good springs so fish of this quality in January are a welcome sight. Tight lines for 2015 !!

First of the season on Taymount and what a belter !!

Taymounts first of the season and a fish to remember for Chris Davidson. The 22lb belter was hooked on a harled vision in the Linn pool. A couple of kelts were caught earlier in the morning so when this fish grabbed hold and made a dash to the tail of the pool it was clear it was going take some taming. Chris was up to the task though and landed his prize. Well done Chris on landing our first spring fish of the year. It was a stunning day out on our river today and definitely one that will stay long in our memories.  Tight Lines !!

 

Returned to the river quickly and safely to continue it's journey.
