Tom Pook and his 21lb belter from Finford stream

Tom landed this cracker spinning a salmo on Wednesday. A great tonic for what has been a few tough weeks on the  river. We finished the week off with another couple of fish so fingers crossed the sport improves over the next few days. Well done Tom and tight lines.

18.5lb springer on fly for David Jarvis

It was the perfect end of a great week for mr Jarvis ..just before lunch on saterday he hooked this magnificent 18.5lb springer on a 3/4inch golden gun fly in the marches and after nothing sort of a titanic battle was returned to continue on its way...mr Jarvis also lost a cracking fish in the flats on Friday and landed two great big kelts in finford head on Wednesday ..well done & c,mon the fish

David Cameron 22lb in linn pool

David landed this sea liced belter yesterday afternoon after a small rise in the water levels. A small run of fish came in the pool and this fish was heading and tailing round the coiling water. Eventually it took a copper salmo. Well done David on getting your biggest salmon to date. Tight lines. 

Graeme Brooks 11lb fly caught fish from the Honey hole

Graeme landed this fish on Tuesday in the tail of the Honey hole. Well done and tight lines. 

Brothers Andy and David Chapman

Brothers Andy and David both struck silver in the Majors cast this week. David was first up landing this hard fighting 18lb fish on Wednesday on a vision. Andrew landed his 12lber on a kynoch. It wouldn't win a beauty pageant but its a salmon all the same.  Well done chaps and tight lines.

Andrew Spencer 24lb fly caught springer

Andrew landed this cracking long tail liced fish in the green bank yesterday morning. A quiet fight burst into life when the fish screamed off line heading for fall at the top if the pool. The rest of the fight was above us as it powered around the fat water with ease. A lovely long fish which weighed in a good 24lb. Andy also landed a 11lb fish in tams corner after lunch. Well done Andy and tight lines.

Toby Phillips 23lb beauty in flats

11 year Toby was right up for a monster battle this morning landing his first salmon.  Hooked harling at the top of the flats this beauty was soon screaming line from the reel running 200 yards and almost out the pool. This young man was up for the fight though and was put through an exhilarating 30 min battle. It was eventually tamed back up at the top of the pool. Not a bad fish for his first !! Well done and congratulation on your success. I hope you school pals are suitably impressed with your achievement. Tight lines young man.  

Justin Phillips 16lber in majors cast

Justin landed his first ever salmon on Friday. Hooked harling it put up a spirited battle in the deep water. Justin was delighted land his prize. Not a bad fish for your first. Pictured with Justin is son Toby. Tight lines and congratulation. 

9lb for Sandra in Flats

Sandra completed an amazing day by landing our seventh of the day on thurs. It grabbed a tay lure at the hand rail. Well done and tight lines

The "Duchess" was keen to stretch her fly line and warm up her casting on thurs afternoon. Casting a lovely fly line it was no surprise when this beauty grabbed hold. After an acrobatic fight it was tamed. Well done Sandra. Tight lines. 

A delighted John Wood with his fly caught 12lber from stank end

John was unlucky twice on Thursday morning before he landed this little cracker on a yellow ally's. Delighted to land this fish it ended a short run of unlucky fish losses for John. Well done and tight lines John.

This fish crunched a vision in the tail of the wood side and fought like a tiger. Well done Walter and tight lines. 

16lb cracker for Niel Fearnie

Niel hooked and landed this belter from the Bellymore dyke. His mate Barry was also successful the same day with a 17lb sea licer. No pic unfortunately. Well done and tight lines. 

Brian Scobie and Ian kettles with fish from last week

Brian caught this cracking 12lb fish in the Linn pool on a salmo last Friday. The take was spectacular as it chased the lure across the surface before the strike. 
Ian was also successful the same day landing this bonnie wee 8lber hooked harling in the pool. Well done and tight lines.

Tim had a cracking 22lb fish hooked harling in stank end this morning. It clobbered a vision 110 in the stream and fought all over the pool. Well done Tim on landing your biggest fish to date. The spring fish was returned as normal to continue its journey upstream...Tight lines

6 & 8 lb spring fish in Linn

John Hutcheon and Ral enjoyed done sport in the afternoon yesterday. The water was quite coloured with snow melt but began clearing after lunch. John landed his 6lb fish on the linn bank with a Toby. Ral's 8lb fish was hooked harling in the trinks. Both were sea liced. Tight lines.

A delighted Chris Dixson with his tiny spring salmon !! The very small springer took a V-110 and was the 2nd small salmon or early grilse !! We have caught this week !! Scales have been sent to the the biologist to determin the identity Salmon or grilse !! But well done & c, mon the big fish !!!!
